The work of connecting Ashok Rajpath with JP Ganga Path in Patna near Krishna Ghat will start from November. Let us tell you that for the first time, 185 payas will be made in the water of the Ganges to provide connectivity here. Its height will be 5.5 meters below the Ganga path. Its name will be Vacular Underpass. With this, all types of heavy vehicles including big vehicles trucks, buses along with small vehicles will be able to go towards Didarganj. Officials of Bihar State Road Development Corporation said that Patna University will give 2100 square meters of land for this.
The university has given its NOC. Out of this land, on 1702 sqm, two buildings, examination hall and chemistry building have been built in the Science College. Both these buildings are two storeyed. Let us tell you that the corporation will give 6 crore 38 lakh 54 thousand rupees to Patna University for building a new building by demolishing this building. However, the temple built adjacent to the river front will not be demolished. A 300 meter long elevated approach road will pass over it, which will connect to Ashok Rajpath.
The distance between Ganga Path – Ashok Rajpath is 525 meters. Already there is a municipal road between Science College and Patna University which is going from Ashok Rajpath to Krishna Ghat. However, to provide connectivity to the Ganga Path-Ashok Rajpath on this existing road, an approach road will be constructed on 300 meters elevated and 175 meters land. At the same time, there will be a 5.5 wide service road on the land meeting Patna University in the east, which will provide connectivity from Ashok Rajpath to the river front located at Krishna Ghat. Here the road will be a total of 14 meters wide.
Three circular underpasses for connectivity with Ganga Path
First – LCT Ghat – Construction work is going on. Will be operational by December 2022. Second- AN Sinha- will be operational after completion of construction work. Third – Krishna Ghat – construction work will start from November, will be ready in December-2023. Construction of 20.5 km JP Ganga Path from Digha to Didarganj (in the Ganges) is going on. In this PMCH has been completed up to 7.5 km. The construction work of the remaining 13 km is going on. It is to be completed by June 2024.
