Elevated road will be constructed at Muzaffarpur Junction, due to which passengers will be able to come directly to the station, facilities will be worldxal.

Indian Railways has started the process of making Muzaffarpur railway junction world class. The work of construction of the junction will start after Diwali-Chhath. At present it is being prepared. The designs of the buildings to be constructed at the junction are being prepared. The design of the northern end of the junction has been completed. Passengers coming to the junction from the northern end will have to use the elevated road to reach the platform. There will be a parking lot under the elevated road. Passengers will be able to reach the platform from the elevated road.

If said, passengers will be allowed to enter the junction on the lines of the airport. There will be separate terminals for entry and exit. In the first phase, a new building is to be constructed by demolishing the parcel and UTS building. 6 different stalls located in UTS Bhawan have to be shifted. However, for this, the railway has allotted the place to the construction agency after marking the place. Two stalls will be set up from parcel office near FOB under construction and 4 on platform one near RPF post. This will be convenient for the passengers.

The existing parcel office will be divided into 4 parts. half to the construction agency. Whereas the half part will be divided into 3 parts. In this, the medical department and other small departments will be shifted. SBI’s ATM machine located at UTS Bhawan will also be installed. RLDA’s Muzaffarpur project in-charge PK Singh is inspecting the construction site of the continuous junction. He has asked the construction agency to speed up the construction. He said that the construction process is satisfactory, but the work should be done on time. For this the pace of work needs to be accelerated.
